Lessons & Carols traces the prophecy and birth of Christ through scripture and song. Favorite Advent and Christmas carols are interspersed with beautiful choral anthems and lessons to create one of the most poignant services of the year. This service will be followed by a light reception in the Commons.
If you would like to honor or remember a loved one through the gift of music and/or poinsettias for our Christmas Eve services, please submit information using the links below by Wednesday, Dec. 13. Questions? Contact Margaret Quigley via email@example.com.
This year we are excited to continue our annual Giving Tree Project supporting Growing Together Preschool (GTP), StepUp Ministry, and local Women’s Prison Ministries. GTP is a preschool program housed here at Christ Church that serves three and four-year-old’s living in public housing. StepUp Ministry is a life skills resource in Wake County for people seeking to improve their lives and develop stable careers. North Carolina Correctional Institute for Women (NCCIW) is hoping to provide Christmas gift bags and meals to every person incarcerated this December. The season of Advent is a time of new beginnings for the Christian Church, as we mark the start of a new liturgical year and wait with anticipation for the arrival of the Christ Child and the union of human and Divine, of heaven and earth. Although the word advent means “coming” or “arrival,” the season of Advent is not celebrated with the fanfare often associated with new beginnings, but instead is a period of preparation as we keep vigil of expectation for what is to come, calling forth our desire and rekindling our sense of hope. Christ Church is our meeting place with God, a school for shaping character for our children and youth, a home where we celebrate and renew our faith again and again, and an encouragement to awaken to the abundant life Jesus came to bring.
Our goals for children of Christ Church, from birth through 5th grade, are to understand that they are known and loved by God and their church family, and that they belong to God’s family and the family of Christ Church.
The Youth Ministry of Christ Church embraces and supports our youth and their families, inspires and guides their spiritual growth as disciples of Christ, and empowers them to serve the church and the world. To be added to youth emails or for more information, contact Kate Oldham Keenan, Director of Youth Ministry, at firstname.lastname@example.org.

We invite anyone in the 20s to mid-40s age range for formation and fellowship. For more information about this ministry, contact The Rev. Daniel J. Reeves at email@example.com.
We offer a wide range of diverse opportunities for formation, education and spiritual growth for adults on Sundays and throughout the week.
Christ Church is a place for all to feel connected and at home. Come, be together, connect and enjoy the fellowship and fun we enjoy together as a Christ Church family.
Our mission is to create a community in which the joys and sorrows of life are honored and consecrated, so that no one walks alone at Christ Church. The Pastoral Care ministries, with more than 200 volunteers, reach out with God’s love to fellow parishioners experiencing trials, troubles and even just ordinary life to promote and facilitate a community in which the joys and sorrows of life are honored and consecrated. To learn more about our Pastoral Care offerings and how you can get involved or receive care, contact Margaret Quigley via firstname.lastname@example.org.
This ministry is specifically designed to serve parishioners who are 60 and older and those who care for and love them. Our mission is to support Senior members of Christ Church as we transition into later seasons of life.
