Service Supper – Sept. 23

Please join us from 5:30-6:30 p.m. for our first Service Supper of the program year, an event for all ages! Our service project will support Diaper Train. Diaper Train’s mission is to provide diapers and wipes—basic necessities that cannot be purchased through federal assistance programs like SNAP or WIC. Sign up with your family to eat dinner and serve together. Pay online or at the door – $8 per person; family cap of $32 – via this link.

Daughters of Christ Church – Oct. 1

Please join us on Thursday, Oct. 1 at 5:30 p.m. for Daughters of Christ Church, an event that brings our female parishioners together for an evening of fellowship. This year we welcome Susan Gravely, Founder and CEO Emerita of VIETRI, the internationally acclaimed lifestyle brand inspired by Italian craftsmanship and the art of living beautifully. Susan will share the inspiring story behind VIETRI—from a family trip to Italy that sparked an idea to a business that grew into a nationally recognized brand. Men’s Night at Milburnie – Sept. 14

Join the men of Christ Church on Monday, Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. for an evening at Milburnie Fishing Club. A social hour will be followed by an informal dinner at 7 p.m. You won’t want to miss the chicken, BBQ, veggies, hush puppies, beverages, banana pudding, or the fun! Cost is $35 per person. Lunch & Learn – Sept. 16

Join us Wednesday, Sept. 16 at noon for Lunch & Learn with Jason Spencer, the Assistant Vice President of Education & Community Engagement at the North Carolina Symphony. Jason will share stories of the Symphony’s statewide education and community programs, the partnerships that make this work possible, and the impact these initiatives have on students, teachers, families, and communities across North Carolina. You’ll also hear about his career in arts education and his passion for expanding access to meaningful musical experiences for people of all ages. ECW Kickoff Meeting – Aug. 26

Please join us for the Episcopal Church Women’s (ECW) first meeting of the program year on Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 6 p.m. in the parish hall. This will be a night of fellowship where we share information regarding the exciting things happening this year and how you can get involved! Come hear updates about Homecoming, Greenery Sale, etc. All women are welcome!

Homecoming Sunday – Aug. 30

Join us Aug. 30 for indoor (10 a.m.) & outdoor (10:15 a.m.) services, full choir during inside worship. Following the services, we hope you will join us for a Homecoming “Sundae”! We’ll have ice cream and cool treats for everyone, games for the kids, and fun activities for all. Dress casual and enjoy the fun!

Pastoral Care

Our mission is to create a community in which the joys and sorrows of life are honored and consecrated, so that no one walks alone at Christ Church. The Pastoral Care ministries, with more than 200 volunteers, reach out with God’s love to fellow parishioners experiencing trials, troubles and even just ordinary life to promote and facilitate a community in which the joys and sorrows of life are honored and consecrated. Senior Adults

This ministry is specifically designed to serve parishioners who are 60 and older and those who care for and love them. Our mission is to support Senior members of Christ Church as we transition into later seasons of life.
