Schedule Updates & Digital Worship Resources

Christ Church’s clergy and program staff members have compiled the following digital resources for individuals and families, of all ages, to enjoy at home. Our staff members are working remotely at this time but we can be reached in all of the usual ways – via email and/or by phone (919) 834-6259.

Current Online Formation Offerings

Families & Faith: @Home Edition – Resource for Parents with Young Children Throughout the month of July and into August, we’ll send a weekly email for parents of young children. We recognize the challenges of engaging our youngest parishioners in online worship and hope these messages will provide resources to support prayer practices for families. Email Sarah Hardesty if you’d like to be added to this email list.

The Apostle Peter: From Denial to Proclamation! An audio series with The Rev. Mary Davila. Peter mirrors us in so many ways. He makes bold proclamations without understanding what he is saying. He gets it right and then gets it so very wrong. He is strong and then cowers. But Peter emerges as the preeminent disciple, a key leader in the early church. Join The Rev. Mary Davila for a series that examines Peter’s life and teachings. Listen to the series here (link).

(Extra) Ordinary Time: This summer, join us for our third season of (Extra) Ordinary Time, an offering that features conversations between The Rev. Mary Davila and Christ Church parishioners. This season focuses on how Covid-19 is affecting a variety of folks: a medical professional, high school and college seniors, our Rector Jim Adams, a small business owner, and Mark Blake, who manages Brown-Wynne funeral home. These conversations are pre-recorded and one will be shared each Monday in June. We hope you find them to be eye-opening, empathy building, and a testimony to the power of community. Watch the series here (link).

Good Fridays Video Series with The Rev. Daniel Reeves: Each Friday, The Rev. Daniel Reeves answers questions from parishioners about the Book of Common Prayer, the practices of the Episcopal tradition and our worship. These videos are published here (link) each Friday morning. Email Daniel to have your question answered.
