EYC Meal Sign-Ups!
We are in need of families to help provide meals for youth group on Sunday nights. Volunteers will plan and coordinate a meal with a team of 4-6 folks for Sunday night. You will need to plan, prepare, serve, and clean-up for the meal. Please remember to include something for our vegetarian friends, not just salad! You can help us by picking a date and signing up to serve a meal. Many hands make for lighter work, and we appreciate your support with our meals. Below are links for both meals and snack drop off. Snacks are used throughout the year in various programs and to make sure we always have gluten-free and peanut-free options.

Happening #65
October 26-28, 2018
Grades 9-12
Happening is a weekend diocesan-wide high school youth event that is held annually with two goals in mind. The first goal is to create a "mountaintop experience" that helps candidates feel the presence of God and to inspire them to build a relationship with God. The second goal is to help the candidates create a strong foundation of self-awareness. By achieving these goals, candidates will want to form a long lasting, personal connection with God. The event is filled with a lot of fun and surprises that keep the weekend exciting the whole way through! Registration for the weekend is $100 and scholarship is available upon request. Diocesan event registration is completed through the youth Diocesan office.

New Acolyte Registration (grades 6-12)
Registration deadline: Wed. October 31, 2018
http://bit.ly/ccacolyte
Acolytes serve as worship leaders for Christ Church at Sunday services and special holidays. Students who would like to serve on an acolyte team at Christ Church will be assigned to serve on one of our five acolyte teams. The team schedule rotates between the 9 & 11 Sunday morning services along with holiday services. When your team is assigned to serve your acolyte leader will have an individual team schedule that has you serving on a specific day. If you cannot serve on your assigned day it is your responsibility to find a replacement and contact your team leader with any changes. New acolytes of any grade 6-12 are always invited to serve! Before serving in a worship service, any new acolyte must attend one of two trainings for Fall 2018: Sunday October 14 or Sunday November 18, both at 12:15pm in the church. After registering as an acolyte and attending a training, students will receive their team assignment and be scheduled to serve for the first time in December 2018 or January 2019, depending on their team's needs. Confirmation information for 2018-2019 school year
Confirmation is a sacramental rite where you are affirming your covenant, or promise, from Baptism that was made by your parents. Confirmation is your turn to prepare and renew or strengthen your beliefs. In Confirmation we ask for God's help in our relationship with God and with the Church. The time to get confirmed is not a set time in life. Everyone must answer for themselves “I do”, “I Believe,” and “I will with God’s Help.” Your church and family provide the support, but it is your decision. To learn more about the Confirmation offerings for youth at Christ Church, click here.

Tentative dates: June 15-21, 2019
This application process is now closed.
Next summer we will have an opportunity for youth to travel on an international mission trip. This trip will be for 10th & 11th grade students (2018-2019) and applications are due this fall, as it takes a full year of preparation for the journey. Sophomore Seekers was established out of the desire from students to continue their journey together from their 2017-2018 Freshman Fellows group. This group is open to ANY high school sophomore regardless of whether they were able to participate in any of the Freshman Fellows groups last year! Students and their leaders will experience a topic-based series focused on relevant themes and community building as they seek to discover who they are and connect with each other and God. More information to come! Our first 2018-2019 series will be held Tuesdays in September at church 6:30-7:45pm. A $20 registration fee helps with materials and meal costs.
