As we gather during Lent, we are reminded that we are, indeed, mortal, but also that we are on a journey toward Easter, which carries with it the unfailing promise of life abundant in the Risen Christ.

Weekly Devotion Emails
Beginning Mondays in Lent, we’ll share a weekly devotion, written by Christ Church parishioners, clergy and staff members. If you are already on our email list, you’ll automatically receive these messages. If you’d like to be added to receive messages like this from Christ Church, please visit this link. To listen to this year’s devotionals, visit this link.
Lenten Yoga
Join Deborah Benton on Fridays during Lent at 9:45 a.m. in room 128 (the All Saints’ Room). Let us open our hands and hearts through movement and breath. No experience necessary.
Journey to Holy Week Service – March 29
Please join us Wednesday, March 29, at 5:30 p.m. for our Journey to Holy Week service. We’ll begin with the celebration of Palm Sunday, which will even include a live donkey! Then we will move through the events of Holy Thursday, taking part in the ritual of foot-washing and remembering the last meal Jesus shared with his friends. We will remember the final days of Jesus’ life with prayers and song and the service will end with the promise of Easter resurrection. This will be a 45-minute service, and pizza will be served after. RSVP or pay at the door for the pizza dinner via this link.
Music of Sacrifice & Salvation – April 2 at 5 p.m.
The Raleigh Bach Soloists and Christ Church Brass present a concert of beautiful and vibrant music including John Ireland’s dynamic and triumphant meditation on the cross, Vexilla Regis, Francis Poulenc’s dark and beautiful a cappella Mass in G Major, and the world premier of David Jernigan’s “Ah, holy Jesus” for congregation, choir, brass quartet, and organ. This concert will be held at Christ Church in place of the 5 p.m. service on Palm Sunday. It is free, and open to all.
Easter Memorials – due April 2
If you would like to honor or remember a loved one through the gift of music and/or lilies for our Easter Sunday services, please submit information using the links below by April 2.
