The term “acolyte” comes from… Acolytes serve each Sunday assisting clergy during worship. Students in grades 6-12 are eligible to serve after training, rotating between the 9 and 11am Sunday services and special services (Christmas, Holy Week, etc). Roles include crucifer, torch bearers, lighting candles, carrying the Gospel book, and assisting with the offering and Eucharist preparation. New acolyte registration takes place each fall, but new students can join at any time. Several trainings are offered throughout the year.
