Clark’s Promise

Street Outreach
Clark’s Promise funds one of Triangle Family Services’ Street Outreach Specialists. Specialists directly engage with members of our community who are experiencing homelessness and connect them to vital medical, financial, employment and housing resources. The specialists focus on building trusting relationships with each client.

One Client’s Story
Ginny was experiencing medical issues and was living in her car. Street Outreach Specialists connected her with the medical and financial resources she desperately needed. Most importantly, they were able to reconnect Ginny and her daughter. Ginny now lives with her daughter in Raleigh and provides childcare for her grandchildren.

Shelter
Clark’s Promise at Christ Church participates in Family Promise of Wake County’s emergency shelter program, whereby area churches provide families with a safe place to stay while permanent housing is arranged. During their time with us, more than 100 Christ Church volunteers support these families. Clark’s Promise also provides annual grant funding to Family Promise.

Food
Clark’s Promise supports Shepherd’s Table Soup Kitchen by providing financial assistance and regular volunteers. Monday through Friday, Shepherd’s Table serves a free, hot and nutritious lunch to more than 275 people each day in downtown Raleigh.

About Clark Grew
Clark’s Promise was founded by Rob and Linda Grew in 2011 in loving memory of their son, Clark.
From a young age, Clark questioned how communities like ours could watch their neighbors struggle with homelessness. His awareness, compassion and drive to take action continue to inspire all who work with Clark’s Promise at Christ Church.
