Join the Altar Guild – Interest Meeting on April 7
Ever wondered about what goes on behind the scenes in preparing the church for services? Consider joining Altar Guild, who is responsible for setting up the altar and Church for Sunday services, funerals, weddings and special services. Each team serves every fifth week (Saturday to the following Friday), and is responsible for staffing services that occur during that week. The average time commitment each five weeks is one hour on Saturday for prep with your group, and two-and-a-half hours on Sunday (set-up, service and clean-up). There is some flexibility within the groups. Please join us in the Commons on Sunday, April 7 at 10:10 a.m. to learn more about serving on the Christ Church Altar Guild. Contact Jennette King via jennettejking@bellsouth.net or Christine Gornto via gorntoc@gmail.com with any questions.
Become an Acolyte!
Are you interested in serving during worship as an acolyte? Students in grades 4-12 are eligible to serve as acolytes – roles include torch bearer, Crucifer, or Gospel bearer. There’s a role for everyone! Contact Margaret Quigley, Worship and Pastoral Care Coordinator for more information via mquigley@ccral.org.
