Volunteers Needed for Warmth for Wake – Feb. 18

Crosswinds has reserved 10 volunteer slots with Warmth for Wake on Feb. 18.  Warmth for Wake is a county-sponsored assistance outreach program that provides firewood to low-income residents during the coldest months of the year to warm their homes.  Volunteers will help split and deliver firewood to those who need it.  The event will last from 8:30 a.m. – noonish at the Yard Waste Center in East Raleigh.  All are welcome, but volunteers with trucks or trailers for delivering are always appreciated!  Click HERE for more details on the program, and click HERE to sign up.  Feel free to email John B. Ward ( with any questions or if you have difficulty signing up.  If you want to sign up but all the slots are full, email John as there may be additional spots available.
